Grant Manager/Bookkeeper CLOSED

The following is an overview of the job description for a virtual Grant Manager/Bookkeeper. It is not all-inclusive and is subject to amendment as needed to accomplish the mission of the organization. This position is a contracted (non-employee) vendor position.

GRANT MANAGEMENT

  • Have an understanding of reading and responding to a grant proposal and can submit a proposal with assistance from the Executive Director and/or others

  • Have a solid understanding of mathematics and can maintain proper accounting of grant-related figures and statistics

  • Have the ability to comprehend and understand complex contracts and follow deliverables/forms derived from the contract without deviating from the contract terms

  • Have problem resolution skills and ability to work with contract managers

  • Ability to work under pressure and turn in paperwork on time without consequences to the organization

  • Coordinate with Administrative Coordinator and/or Tip Office to ensure required grant reports and attachments are available in a timely matter

  • Prepare monthly grant reporting with assistance as needed from Executive Director, or Administrative Coordinator, or the Tip Office Coordinator

  • Apprise Executive Director weekly of all outstanding grant-related items and their due dates

  • Provide to the Executive Director regular updates on all deliverables and their status

  • Work with the Administrative Coordinator to ensure all services or purchases comply with grant terms; understand which requires quotes before expenditure; notify the Executive Director of any issues

  • As needed, support the Executive Director with fulfilling grant-related requests and other reporting

  • Must have multiple years of experience handling Crime Stoppers Grants and working with the Florida State Attorney General’s Office.

ORGANIZATIONAL ACCOUNTING

  • Be responsible for all bookkeeping within the QuickBooks program

  • Responsible for reconciling all bank accounts, preparing electronic reports, and sending to CPA, Board, and others as required

  • With the assistance of the CPA and Executive Director, prepare financial information for the Board of Directors

  • Provide extra eyes on the cash flow and expenditures, report issues as required

  • Provide monthly electronic files to the CPA for review

  • Pay all invoices in a timely matter

  • Coordinate with offices to make sure proper tracking/accounting is accomplished

  • Maintain and provide electronic files for all financial transactions and accounts

OTHER

  • Must be willing to submit to an Florida Department of Law Enforcement background check

  • This is a contracted Virtual Services opening with all services being provided remotely

  • Contracted amount will be limited by grant funding guideline - Range $18 - $22 per hour based on experience
